Associate Relations Board Member
💼Davis Women in Business (DWIB) empowers young women to become high-achieving leaders. We aim to provide growth for members and build professional networks that lead us to achieve our career goals.
This Board works to develop empowerment programs and events that strengthen relations within our Davis Women in Business community. Some of the events we host include community socials, volunteer programs, professional mentorship programs and events where we collaborate with different boards! Our goal as the Associate Relations Board is to unite all our empowering women into one supportive community.
What does being part of the Associate Relations Board entail?
What have I done as part of the Associate Relations Board?
• Plan social engagements for the largest business organization at UC Davis (150 members), increasing average event turnout by 200%
• Collaborate with Marketing & Design Board for designing engagement flyers and updating our social media for an audience of over 1000 students/alumni.
• Send weekly formatted reminders through Slack for all members of our organization to increase participation
• Spearhead a weekend retreat for 30 attendees with a budget of $3,000 and a 2-week timeline, resulting in a 98% positive feedback rate
• Developed and formatted a 3-day weekend schedule for all events such as scavenger hunts, puzzles, and karaoke.
• Cooperate with 7 board members to create detailed schedules for events and foster community bonding amongst club associates
• Lead weekly general meeting Lean-In Circles where we propose a question for our organization and brainstorm different perspectives
• Advised new incoming members through DWIB's professional event as a panelist and built professional networks
• Created more engagement for our organization through tabling to over 10,000 students throughout UC Davis
